Society Structure
The Strategic direction of the SEB is set by its Council. The four Scientific Section Committees covering Animal Biology, Cell Biology, Education and Public Affairs and Plant Biology generate the ideas for meetings, publications and other initiatives which keep the Society buoyant. The Meetings Committee and the Publications Committee respectively ensure that those ideas come to fruition and are guided by a coherent strategy. Other committees and working groups of the Society work to ensure that the Society strikes the correct balance between supporting biology and planning for a stable financial future.
The diagram below gives an overview of the SEB committee structure. More details on the individual SEB committees and working groups can be found by clicking here
All of the above Committees and groups are run by honorary officers and other volunteers from amongst the SEB Membership. Without these enthusiastic individuals the Society would not exist and huge thanks must go to them for their continuing efforts.
