CELL BIOLOGY

Propose a topic for a meeting

The SEB invites its members to submit proposals for the following:

  • topics for sessions within the Annual Meeting
  • a symposium within the Cell Section or SEB+
  • a satellite meeting to run alongside the SEB Annual Conference

Annual Meeting proposals

SEB Members can submit proposals and funding request to organise a session at the SEB Annual  Meeting.

If your proposal is successful, you are likely to be the main organiser for that session and will liaise closely with the SEB Events Team, who will provide full secretariat support.

See the full details of how to apply to organise a session here.

Symposium Proposals

The Cell Section runs a symposium every two years and proposals for meeting topics are welcome from SEB members.
To submit a proposal on a specific topic to be run as a focused cell biology symposium, you will need to complete a symposium proposal form and send it to us by email to proposals@sebiology.org. Your proposal will then passed to the Cell Section Chair for consideration at the next meeting of the Cell Section Committee and the Meetings. The Meetings Committee decides on the proposals.

If your proposal is successful, you are likely to be the main organiser for that session and will liaise closely with the SEB Events Team, who will provide full secretariat support.

See full details on how you can apply to organise an SEB Symposium here.

You can also contact Oliver Kingham on 020 7685 2600 or email o.kingham@sebiology.org if you have any queries about proposals for meetings.

Satellite Meetings

SEB members can propose a topic and apply for funding to organise a satellite meeting, which usually takes place at before or after our Annual Meeting.

The SEB Cell Section has an annual budget of £5,000 for organising a satellite meeting each year.
