Propose a topic or session for an SEB Meeting
The SEB invites its members to submit proposals for the following:
Topics for sessions within the Main Meeting
A symposium within the Cell, Animal, Plant or Education and Public Affairs Sections
Main Meeting Proposals
To submit a proposal for a specific topic or session at a future main meeting, you will need to download and complete the Main Meeting Proposal Form. Once complete, this must be sent to the relevant Section Chair, details below:
Animal Section - Craig Franklin
Cell Section - Patrick Hussey
Education and Public Affairs - Jeremy Pritchard
Plant Section - Christine Raines
Deadlines for session proposals for the next 3 years are as follows:
Manchester 2014 - proposals should be received by the SEB office on or before 28 February 2013
Your proposal will then be put forward to the relevant section secretary to considered at the next meeting of the committee. The decision is also overseen by the Meetings Committee.
Should your proposal be successful, you are likely to be the main organizer for that session and will liaise closely with the SEB conference team who will provide full secretariat support.
Symposium Proposals
To submit a proposal on a specific topic to be run as a focused symposium, you will need to download and complete the Symposium Proposal Form. Once complete, this must be returned to the SEB office, either by fax, email or post. Your proposal will then be put forward to the relevant section secretary to considered at the next meeting of the committee. The decision for these are again overseen by the Meetings Committee.
Should your proposal be successful, you are likely to be the organizer for that symposium and will liaise closely with the SEB conference team who will provide full secretariat support.
