There are a number of networking events taking place at SEB Salzburg 2012 to give you the opportunity to maximise your time at the meeting. These are listed below:
Pre-Conference Networking Event

This year our popular preconference networking event will take place after the Science With Impact session. The event is open to all delegates and is an opportunity for you to make a few more contacts prior to the conference, meet our honorary SEB officers and generally network and enjoy a relaxing and sociable evening before the conference starts. A glass of wine and a light snack will be available, along with a cash bar.

Welcome Evening and Wine Trail

The immensely popular Welcome Evening and Wine trail is open to all delegates to attend and is 100% FREE! Join the competition to discover which exhibitor is serving which wine, or just network with acquaintances old and new. An Austrian themed buffet dinner will be provided. Attendance at this event is optional, although we would encourage you to attend what is sure to be a fun filled evening!

Women in Science Dinner

The Women in Science dinner aims to bring delegates together to raise awareness and discuss issues which affect women (and men too, in many cases) with respect to the work environment and culture. The dinner will take place in the panoramic restaurant on the 15th floor of the Hotel Europa. A three course dinner with wine will be served, and there will be after dinner speaker.

SEB Conference Dinner Celebration

The SEB Conference Dinner is always a popular event, providing you with the opportunity to network over a delicious 3 course meal, following which you can let your hair down a little and enjoy our DJ and some dancin’! Attendance at the conference dinner is optional, tickets can be purchased during the registration process or at the Conference Desk at the meeting (subject to availability). The dinner will be taking place in the ballroom of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Salzburg.

End of Meeting Social

The End of Meeting Social is a relaxed event, to help you wind down from 4 busy (but great!) days of science and networking. This year's end of meeting social is a tour of the Stiegl Brau, the largest privately owned brewery in Salzburg. The journey through the exhibition ends with a relaxed beer tasting session in the former fermentation cellar. Enjoy a two course traditional Austrian meal after the beer tasting, and spend the rest of the evening sampling any of the other beers which are sold on tap!
Please note that there are only 150 tickets for this event, so tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Poster Sessions
Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 July
There are two poster sessions scheduled for the evenings of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July. Sessions will commence at 6:30 pm on Saturday and 6:00 pm on Sunday for two hours. A cash bar will be available.
