Subsidised registration fees to our meetings:
- up to 50% savings for full members
- up to 80% savings for students and Early Career Scientists
- Loyal Member registration fee – available to those who have been members continuously for 3 years or longer
Reduced Subscriptions to Society Journals
Discounts are available for all hard-copy and on-line subscriptions of all our SEB journals and book series including The Plant Journal (Impact Factor 6.948), the The Journal of Experimental Botany (Impact Factor 4.818), The Plant Biotechnology Journal (Impact Factor 4.886), Essential Reviews in Experimental Biology and the Seminar Series encompassing Experimental Biology Reviews.
- Discounts on other Publications (Wiley Blackwell, CoB Journals, Royal Society and Cambridge University Press)
- Free colour printing for papers published in The Plant Journal and Journal of Experimental Botany
- Free advertising (related to meetings, workshops and job vacancies) in the SEB e-letter, Meetings Diary on our website, and on SEB Facebook.
Funding
Student and Early Post-doc Travel Grants
- The Company of Biologists Travel Grant which offers funding of up to £500 for travel to both national and overseas conferences, visiting labs or attending workshops.
- The SEB Student Travel Grant, which offers financial support for attending the SEB Annual Main Meeting.
Satellite Funding
SEB Members can apply for SEB funding to help with the organisation of satellite meetings; each of the SEB Sections is allocated £5,000 per annum for this purpose. For information on how to apply, please click here.
University Talks Fund
