Membership
SEB Membership is open to scientists worldwide. There are three categories of membership: Student Membership for postgraduate students, Early Career Scientist Membership for those in the first three years of their first postdoc position and Full Membership.
To join the SEB, you need to download and fill in the Membership Form
By our articles of association all new members are required to provide either the signatures of two existing members or a copy of their CV on joining.
Please also indicate when you apply which of the Society's interest groups you wish to join. This will help us to provide you with the most relevant information.
Membership Fees
Full Membership
Full Member 1 year = £60
Full Member 5 years = £255 (15% discount on yearly fee)
Full Member 15 year = £720 (20% discount on yearly fee)
Full Member Eastern Europe* & Africa - £10**
Full Member Eastern Europe* & Africa 5 years - £50**
Early Career Scientist Membership
Early Career Scientist 1 year = £30
Early Career Scientist 3 years = £76 (15% discount on yearly fee)
Student Membership
Student Member 1 year = £20
Student Member 5 years = £85 (15% discount on yearly fee)
Applications for membership are accepted throughout the year. Please note that our membership year runs from 1st October to 30th September. We will contact you when your membership is due for renewal.
*Countries considered to be Eastern Europe are: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine
** Please note if you are an Early Career Scientist in Eastern Europe or Africa but you apply for Full Member status because the membership fee is cheaper, please note that you WILL NOT be eligible for Early Career Scientist member benefits which includes access to grants.
