Networking
Research Communities
The SEB is multidisciplinary and divided into Animal, Cell, Plant and Education & Public Affairs Sections. Our Sections run a total of 23 interest groups available for you to join at no extra cost! The SEB encourages regular meetings within each Section and Interest Group by supporting these events. This provides our members with opportunities to meet and discuss research with their peers, which ultimately helps to further biological research. (link to section pages)
Worldwide Forum
Through the different scientific interest groups run by the Society, the lively and informative website, regular news bulletins and monthly e-mail newsletters and social media, the SEB provides members with access to experimental biologists anywhere in the world. We are passionate about all aspects of biology and we play an active role in bringing biologists together on a regular basis.
Conferences and Symposia
The SEB organises a number of exciting meetings each year covering the breadth of the Society’s research interests. Members benefit from subsidised registration fees for all our meetings.
Policy and PR Support
The Society addresses public affairs issues and provides responses to policy consultations either directly or via umbrella organisations such as the Society of Biology and the European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO) on matters relating to experimental biology and education. We also offer a media relations service for members whereby we will assist you to promote your latest research via press releases to the international media to increase the wider impact of your work.
