IN RESPONSE TO CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK SEB BUSINESS MEETINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY.

In response to the developing risks and uncertainties with the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak the Society of Experimental Biology (SEB) has decided to conduct SEB business through virtual meetings.

The forthcoming Publications Management Committee and Council meeting will be held virtually – see details below.

The Animal, Plant and Cell Sections meetings, the Joint Sections meeting and the Events Committee will be postponed until after Council has met and deliberated on event planning.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Virtual meetings will go ahead using Zoom (with telephone conferencing available as a back-up.) Dial in details will be provided separately by email to all anticipated participants

REVISED SEB BUSINESS PROGRAM

 

· The Publications Management Committee will be held at the earlier time of 9am on Tuesday 17th March 2020.

· The Council meeting will be held at the earlier time of 9am on Wednesday 18th March 2020.

· The Animal, Plant and Cell Sections meetings are postponed and will be held virtually later in March.

· The Events Committee and Joint Sections Committee will also be rescheduled.

EXPENSES

The SEB will reimburse travel costs that participants have incurred and are unable to get a refund on. Please send receipts and cancellation confirmations with the SEB expenses claim form , insert link, to admin@sebiology.org.uk

EVENTS PLANNING

Please note that the SEB Council will consider arrangements for forthcoming SEB events in 2020 on the 18th March. Please do not take any further action or make any travel or accommodation arrangements for SEB events until the Society issues the decisions taken by Council.
