SEB Annual Main Meeting 2008
Parc Chanot, Marseille, France, Sunday 6th - Thursday 10th July 2008
The SEB Annual Main Meeting 2008 is returning to mainland Europe, to Parc Chanot in the cosmopolitan port city of Marseille. The diverse programme of scientific, education and networking sessions running at the meeting provides an opportunity to present your research, meet old friends and form new collaborations in a lively but relaxed atmosphere. The cross-sectional session will be on Systems Biology.
Marseille and its environs offer a wealth of site-seeing options and the opportunity to relax on the Mediterranean coast. Restaurants abound in Marseille serving a variety of dishes with Oriental and North African as well as traditional French influences.
Students and Early-Career Scientists
The Society would particularly like to encourage students and early-career scientists to present their work at the meeting. The lively, well-attended poster evenings have proved invaluable to students in previous years and the SEB meeting is renowned as a good environment in which to give your first talk. To facilitate this, student members of the SEB benefit from a heavily discounted registration rate as well as the chance to apply for subsistence funding and win cash prizes in the Young Scientist Award Competition.
Call for Papers
The Society would like to invite the submission of offered talks and poster abstracts to all sessions at the Marseille meeting.
Abstract submission is now open at www.sebiology.org. The deadline for submissions is 31st March 2008.
New for 2008 - Loyal Member Rate
For the 2008 Meeting a new registration fee has been introduced giving a deep discount to full members of the Society who have been members for the last three years or longer.
In addition to the subsidy already provided to members, loyal members will receive a further £100 off their registration, provided they register before 9th May 2008.
If you have not yet paid your subscription for 2007-08 make sure you do so before you register for the meeting to benefit from the member discounts.
The registration fees for the meeting are as follows:
- SEB Registration Fee 2008
- SEB Full Members (3 Years + rate) - £195
- SEB Full Members - £295
- Non-Members - £425
- Young Scientist SEB Member - £145
