As a learned Society the SEB plays an active part in publishing both journals and books.

Journals

SEB affiliated publications that are published on a regular basis include: The Journal of Experimental Botany (published monthly), The Plant Journal (published monthly), and The Plant Biotechnology Journal (also published monthly).

Essential Reviews in Experimental Biology

Essential Reviews in Experimental Biology is the new peer-reviewed series published by the SEB which aims to encompass all the areas of science that the society represents. Each chapter is written by leading authorities in science that have been invited, based on their international reputation, to provide their perspective on the current status and recent developments within the field. The series aims to provide an excellent, up-to-date resource for a global research audience within each of the volume topics.

Volume 1 ‘Osmoregulation and ion transport: integrating physiological, molecular and environmental aspects’ and Volume 2 ‘Surface Chemistry, Bioavailability and Metal Homeostasis in Aquatic Organisms: an Integrated Approach’ are now available in paperback from the SEB office, priced at £35. The electronic version of the book will also be available for purchase soon from our website. Previously, the SEB have published book series' in association with other publishers. Past volumes from Experimental Biology Reviews (Elsevier) and Experimental Biology Reviews (Taylor and Francis) can be purchased directly through the publisher.
