Travel grants

Travel grant application has now closed.


The Society for Experimental Biology (SEB) is offering travel grants, ranging from £250-£500, to support attendance at the ‘Lessons from two high CO2 worlds – future oceans and intensive aquaculture’ symposium on 10-12 April 2018 in the Azores.


To be eligible for a travel grant, you must:

  • Be a Student or Early career scientist member of the SEB or European Aquaculture Society (EAS)
  • Have an abstract (talk or poster) accepted for presentation at the symposium
  • Have registered and paid to attend the symposium before the early bird registration deadline (2 March 2018)


Travel grant application has now closed for the symposium.

Terms and conditions

  • The maximum funding per grant is between £250 - £500 and can only be used to support travel and accommodation costs
  • Travel grants will be reimbursed after the symposium
  • Successful applicants will be asked to provide a short report of their experience at the symposium which may be used by the SEB & Company of Biologists.
