Your registration fee for the Annual Meeting includes:

  • Admission to all scientific lectures and poster sessions
  • One conference pack containing final programme and digital copy of abstract book
  • Access to industry exhibition
  • All refreshments and lunch during the Annual Meeting
  • Admission to the Welcome Evening Reception on 3 July
  • 2 drink tickets for each poster session on 4 and 5 July

Abstract book (hard copy)

Price: £30

A digital version of the abstract book is included in the registration fees for the Annual Meeting. If you would like to order a hard copy of the abstract book, these can be ordered at the time of registration or at the Annual Meeting (depending on availability).

Accompanying person fee

If you are attending the Annual Meeting with a friend or spouse and would like them to join you at the networking opportunities, you can purchase an accompanying person ticket. 

The ticket price allows the individual to attend the welcome reception, poster sessions and includes refreshments/lunch throughout the Annual Meeting. Please note: An accompanying person will not be able to attend any scientific lecture sessions.

Diversity Dinner

Ticket prices will include an arrival drink and a three-course meal with wine.

On behalf of SEB+, the E & D convenor group invites all delegates to the diversity dinner (formerly Women in Science dinner). This networking event is held every year and offers an inspirational three course dinner while listening and discussing societal issues related to science and academia. The diversity dinner in Florence will be held by Kristen Anderson who is Chief Diversity Officer at Barilla Group and based in Parma. Kristen's background as a chemical engineer and having worked in R&D for most of her career, her thoughts on E & D warrant a thought-provoking evening among friends. Please note that registration for the diversity dinner is open to all attendees as it is explicitly meant to be for both genders and all delegates.

Conference Dinner

Join us at the SEB conference dinner to celebrate the last night of the Annual Meeting at the Palazzo Borghese. After it's reconstruction in the 16th Century, this stunning Palace is one of the most remarkable buildings in the City of Florence.

Come and mingle with your colleagues and dine in this architectural and artistic jewel in the centre of Florence. Guests will enjoy a relaxed dinner with refreshments followed by entertainment.

Advances in plant reproduction – from gametes to seeds

Dates: 30 June - 1 July 2018
Location: Firenze Fiera Congress and Exhibition Centre, Italy

This two day satellite meeting is taking place immediately before the Annual Meeting. This plant satellite meeting is the result of the demanding investment efforts made in the last years, by the plant reproduction scientific community, in understanding the basis of reproductive traits and its relationship with the plant phenotypic plasticity.

The height, breadth and depth of physiological diversity: variation across latitudinal, altitudinal and depth gradients

Date: 1 July 2018
Location: Firenze Fiera Congress and Exhibition Centre, Italy

The Animal satellite meeting will explore the common principles across latitude, altitude and depth related gradients, whilst identifying the physical and biological factors affecting physiological diversity. The topic will stimulate cross-field thinking and will interest a range of scientists from mechanistic physiologists and ecologists through to predictive modellers.
