SEB members are eligible to apply for grants of up to £2000, while non-members can apply for grants of up to £200 to support educational research or the development and dissemination of teaching resources in experimental biology for higher education.
SEB student and early career scientist members can apply for up to £800 to support their travel to conferences, career workshops, research trips, and laboratory visits. This funding has now been extended to include registration fees for online events.
SEB members can apply for up to £1000 to help with the cost of organising a scientific event independently or in collaboration with another organisation. We assess applications twice a year, the deadlines for applying are 1 March and 1 November.

The purpose of this fund is to provide free membership to those experiencing periods of financial hardship so they can continue to access the career development resources and research network provided by the SEB.
