Biography

George Bassel is a computational plant scientist who is interested in understanding how plants process information from the environment to make decisions. This research lies at the interface between biology, physics and computer science, and seeks to develop novel strategies to change the growth and form of plants, including crops. George obtained his PhD at the University of Guelph and is a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute.
