Join #iamabiologist social media campaign

The royal society of biology has asked me to put forward a couple of our members for their #iamabiologist social media campaign on Friday 7th October and I wondered if anyone would be interested in taking part?

They need a few details and a photograph of the person in the lab/feild or other setting as a bioscientists at work, in advance of the day, so they can create some profiles in advance. For a taste of 2019’s posts as an example see here: https://twitter.com/i/events/1182608756238147585.

If you like them to make a Twitter card profile for you they need the following:

• Name (first and second if comfortable)
• Title
• Associated organisation or institution
• Twitter handle (if applicable)
• A 40 - 60 word blurb about your role and what you enjoy about it
• A high resolution photo of yourself in action as a biologist. Minimum dimensions of 800 x 800.

If you (or a colleague) would like to take part please send me your details and photograph attached to your email by the end of the day on Monday 26th September.

PS. Please send any photos as an email attachment (as opposed to embedded in a word document please). If the blurb is slightly too long, the RSB comms team may have to edit it a little but will do their best to keep changes to a minimum.
