Communicating your research clearly and demonstrating impact in media, policy and public engagement is becoming more and more important
If you’re looking to build confidence, sharpen your communication skills and kickstart your engagement in public debates on science and evidence, this free workshop is for you.
As part of Sense about Science's Voice of Young Science (VoYS) programme, they support ECRs to navigate this complex environment by hosting Standing up for Science workshops. These workshops aim to motivate, empower, and equip ECRs to participate in public discussions on science and evidence and to learn how to engage effectively with policymakers and the media.
Sense about Science's next Standing up for Science workshop will be at the Institute of Physics on Friday, 26 June 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Come along to:
- Build your communication skills — learn how to explain your research clearly and compellingly
- Meet other ECRs who share your questions and concerns
- Hear cross‑disciplinary perspectives from early‑career colleagues
- Learn from media, policy, and engagement experts on our panels
As researchers associated with the Society of Experimental Biology, you have access to free priority places to attend the workshop.
