Exploring Carbon Dioxide in Biological Systems: Theo Murphy Scientific Meeting at the Royal Society

The meeting will be led by Professor Martin Cann from Durham University, Professor Elizabete Carmo-Silva from Lancaster University and Dr Eoin Cummins from University College Dublin.

Carbon dioxide is essential for life. It is central to physiological processes, including photosynthesis, metabolism, homeostasis and chemosensing. However, the mechanisms underpinning carbon dioxide sensing, signalling and adaptation are poorly understood.

This meeting will unite researchers who study carbon dioxide biology in photosynthetic and animal systems. Speakers and participants will discuss the common goal of understanding the molecular basis of carbon dioxide detection.

There will be a poster session on Monday 18 November 2024. Attendees can apply to present a poster.

This meeting is intended for researchers in relevant fields. Advance registration is essential.
