Introducing Larry York as the new Editor-in-Chief for Plant Direct Journal

The   American Society of Plant Biologists   (ASPB),   Society for Experimental Biology       (SEB) and   Wiley       are delighted to announce that we have appointed     Dr Larry York     as the new Editor-in-Chief for Plant Direct.  Larry is a plant ecophysiologist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee where his     work         focuses on whole-plant physiology and carbon-use efficiency with a focus on roots and plant responses to soil stresses. Larry has held several editorial roles and has been an active reviewer for the plant science community for many years. He has the skills, ideas and drive to build on the strengths of Plant Direct and we look forward to collaborating with Larry on the Journal.

ASPB, SEB and Wiley would also like to thank Dr Ivan Baxter who stepped down from the role of Editor-in-Chief on Plant Direct in December 2021. Ivan has been Editor-in-Chief since Plant Direct launched 5 years ago and over that time Plant Direct has established itself as an important journal for the plant science community. We are very grateful to Ivan for all the hard work, energy, and vision he brought to Plant Direct.
