Pictures can often say more than words and moving pictures speak especially loudly!

JXB has therefore introduced First Author Videos as a powerful tool to support and promote Early Career Researchers who want to boost the visibility of their research and engage in science communication.

First authors of recently published JXB papers are invited to create short video abstracts of their work, which will be posted on the journal’s Twitter feed, @JXBot.

In these 30 seconds to 2 minutes long videos authors should briefly introduce themselves and address the research question, major outcomes, and impact of their publication.

No sophisticated video equipment is required, standard smartphone cameras will do the job, and JXB staff can assist in adding titles and captions to the video.

For further information or questions please contact the JXB Editorial Office ([email protected]).
