Overview/Background
This webinar will explore the intersection between art and science, showcasing how creative practice can enhance scientific understanding, education, communication, and engagement.
The event was originally inspired by a collaborative project at Kingston University between the art and bioscience departments, where Master’s students produced artwork reflecting themes of diversity in bioscience. This student's work will be hosted on the Society for Experimental Biology (SEB) website, accompanied by written reflections and short video interviews.
The webinar builds on this by bringing together speakers from a variety of disciplines who use art and science in innovative ways, from enhancing learning and communicating complex research stories, to promoting inclusion and wellbeing. Speakers will explore how science and art can enrich each other, followed by a roundtable panel discussion with audience Q&A.
