How the Scheme Works

Step 1: Learn More

Interested in taking part? Join our informal online Q&A session on Wednesday 29th July at 12-1pm  (UK time) to find out more about the scheme, ask questions, and hear what participation involves. Attending a Q&A session does not commit you to taking part. Book your place on the Q&A session now. If you can't attend that session, register your interest with the form at the top of this page, and we'll email you details of the next step.

Step 2: Attend Mentor and Mentee Training

Potential mentors and mentees will be invited to attend an online training session in September. The session will introduce the mentoring process, explain expectations and responsibilities, and provide practical guidance for building a successful mentoring relationship. If you are unable to attend live, a recording will be available.

Step 3: Apply to Participate

Following the training session, those who wish to proceed will be invited to complete a participant profile form. Mentees will be asked about their development goals and areas where they would like support. Mentors will be asked about their experience, expertise and areas of interest. This information helps us create effective mentoring matches.

Step 4: Mentoring Begins

Once matches have been made, in November mentors and mentees will be introduced and begin their mentoring journey together.

Across the year, participants will have access to resources and guidance, including:

• Mentoring worksheets and planning tools
• Regular check-ins
• Ongoing support if questions or challenges arise

Our aim is to help both mentors and mentees build rewarding and productive mentoring relationships.
