Outreach in Nigerian Secondary Schools
David Audu used his outreach grant to educate Nigerian secondary school students about experimental biology, as well as university courses and careers in this field. This was done through presentations and Q&A sessions, as well as highlighting local researchers.
Overall, the events raised awareness of experimental biology as a field and led to students becoming more interested in experimental biology. The students also valued learning about career opportunities, particularly engaging with stories about early career researchers.
