PLOS Survey on Research Assessment

PLOS is working to investigate how researchers who serve on committees for hiring, promotion or tenure, or grant review assess a candidate’s research outputs.

How?
Through a survey based on a qualitative research conducted in 2021 whose goal was to understand the needs of researchers whilst assessing a candidate's research outputs.

Why?
The aim of the PLOS survey is to "identify opportunities for better tools, methods, or advocacy to support assessment."

Who can take part?
Researchers in Biology and Life Sciences who have served within the last two years on a committee for hiring, promotion or tenure, or grant applications.

How long does it take to complete?
Around 10 minutes.

When is the deadline?
19th June 2022.
