SEB ANNUAL CONFERENCE ANTWERP 2025: FINAL REGISTRATION CLOSES TODAY

 

Today is the final day to register for the SEB Annual Conference Antwerp 2025

The conference will be held at the stunning Flanders Meeting & Convention Center, uniquely situated within the historic Antwerp ZOO, offering a truly inspiring setting where science meets nature.

If you are unavailable to travel, virtual registration will remain open until the conference begins, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world.
You will have access to selected keynote talks and live-streamed sessions, which is a flexible way to stay connected with the latest research.

Each year at the Annual Conference of the SEB, the work of George Parker Bidder III and Harold Woolhouse is honoured with plenary lectures alongside the Cell Biology plenary lecture.

ACCOMODATION AND HOTELS BOOKING

We have worked with the Antwerp Convention Bureau to source hotels within a short walking distance of the conference venue. 


On the SEB website you will also find information regarding accommodation nearby, also offering a discounted rate to SEB attendees. 

 

 

 


CHILDCARE

The SEB is delighted to announce that to make our conference more inclusive we will again be offering a crèche to provide childcare at our Antwerp 2025 Annual Conference.

To provide this facility we will be teaming up with  Nipperbout, an award-winning event childcare company with over 25 years of experience.
 

 


AWARDS DINNER

The Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday the 10th of July 2025    from 19:00, at Art Nouveau Hall, The Grande Horta Café, Hopland 2, 2000 Antwerpen, Belgium.

The winners of the President Medallist Award, Young Scientist Award, Irene Manton Prize, Woolhouse Lecture, Plenary Lecture, and Bidder Lecture will receive their awards from the SEB President, Tracy Lawson, during the Awards Dinner. The dinner includes a drinks reception upon arrival, a three-course meal with wine accompaniment, followed by music and dancing.

Awards Dinner tickets are an additional cost and can be booked upon registration. Please get in touch with us at [email protected]  


DIVERSITY LUNCH
Location:   A Room With A Zoo

Join us as we formally conclude the SEB Annual Conference in Antwerp with our annual Diversity Lunch, a celebration of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the biosciences. This free sit-down lunch is included with your standard conference ticket, but spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to arrive promptly.
This lunch will take place in a "Room with a Zoo".
