ICBF2026: Bringing the International fish biology community to Vancouver

The ICBF2026 will take place in Vancouver, Canada, from July 12โ€“16, 2026, bringing together researchers from around the world to explore advances in fish biology.

The 16th International Congress of the Biology of Fish, 2026 (ICBF2026) will take place from July 12-16, 2026 and there are almost 30 symposia to choose from.
The website (https://icbf2026.com/) is now open for abstract submission (with a closing date of March 3, 2026), registration (with an early bird closing date of April 7, 2026) and accommodations.

  • For abstracts submissions, we plan to notify acceptance within about 2-3 weeks.

  • For registration, there is a $50 deduction for people that are members of the - Physiology section of the American Fisheries Society and the opening reception (July 12) and closing banquet dinner (July 16th) are included with registration fees.

  • For accommodations, bookings should be made as soon as possible as units are limited and the earlier bookings are made, the more likely we will be able to release additional rooms to satisfy demand.

  • Keep in mind FIFA world-cup games in Vancouver end July 7, 2026 and we suggest if extended visits are planned, to do so following rather than prior to the congress to avoid the high costs associated with FIFA

Looking forward to seeing you at the 16th ICBF in Vancouver, July 12-16, 2026.

Best wishes,
Colin Brauner and Don MacKinlay
