Save the date: Green Planet Day 2026
The Society for Experimental Biology is delighted to share details of Green Planet Day 2026, a one-day symposium taking place at the University of York on 14 September 2026.
Building on the success of its inaugural meeting in 2025, the symposium will bring together researchers for a programme of talks and poster sessions covering a broad range of topics, including fundamental plant and algal biology, food security, ecology, biodiversity, and the development of sustainable green products from plant, algal and insect sources.
Researchers at all career stages are encouraged to attend. Abstract submissions are now open, with six speakers selected from submitted abstracts, while all applicants are invited to present a poster.
Poster re-use is welcomed and encouraged, and prizes for the best talk and poster, kindly sponsored by the New Phytologist Foundation, will be presented during the event.
Registration costs £20 for students, postdoctoral researchers and technicians, and £30 for principal investigators, with refreshments and lunch included.
The abstract submission deadline is 10 August 2026, and registration closes on 28 August 2026.
Visit the registration page for further information and to secure your place.
With best regards,
