The Plant Journal is now Gold Open Access
We are pleased to share that The Plant Journal is now Gold Open Access.
From now on, all new submissions to the journal will be published Open Access if accepted, making the research freely available to readers around the world without subscription paywalls.
This transition represents an important step towards making high-impact plant science research more accessible to the global research community. By removing barriers to access, the move to Gold Open Access will help authors reach a wider audience while allowing researchers, students and other readers to freely access the latest research published in the journal.
Authors at hundreds of institutions are eligible to have the Article Processing Charge (APC) covered through one of Wiley’s Read & Publish agreements. In addition, SEB members are eligible for a 10% discount on the APC.
The Plant Journal publishes original research covering all aspects of plant biology, and this move to Gold Open Access will help ensure that new discoveries and research findings can reach the widest possible audience.
