The SEB joins the Royal Society of Biology regarding the war in Ukraine

Since several days, the Society for Experimental Biology has been witness of the terrible events unfolding in the wake of the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine. 

This is why, we decided to share the statement written by the Royal Society of Biology  and bring all our support to the Ukranian people.
 

“The Royal Society of Biology abhors the attacks of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and its people.
 
We know that amongst the entire Ukrainian population suffering attack and displacement are scientists and their families in distress and need, and we know that there are scientists in Russia voicing opposition to their country’s actions.
 
The humanitarian crisis is primary, but we also decry the situation in which science knowledge cannot be peacefully pursued and used for good. We call for, and hope for, an immediate end to the immense suffering being caused by the attacks.”
