About this event:

From 9-10 April 2026, the Society for Experimental Biology is hosting a symposium exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Biology Education, with a particular focus on inclusivity, ethics, and practical application. This event will bring together educators, researchers, students, and industry partners to share insights, experiences, and new approaches for integrating AI in teaching, assessment, and practical classes. The symposium will include a mix of talks and interactive workshops, providing participants with both inspiration and practical skills that they can immediately integrate into their own teaching. The event will take place in Nottingham (UK), but as a hybrid event, virtual registration will also be an option.  

Who is this event for? 

This symposium is primarily aimed at teaching staff, lecturers, and educators and students in higher education within the fields of biological sciences who are interested in exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning. However, anyone with an interest in AI and education, regardless of their discipline, is welcome to attend.
